Simon holds many industry certifications, including CPCU, ARe, LLIF and CIA designations. He currently serves on both the Michigan Auto Insurance Placement Facility Board of Directors and the Michigan Basic Property Insurance Association Board of Directors.

“I'm honored and grateful to the board for this opportunity to serve as CEO of Farm Bureau Insurance," said Executive Vice President Simon. "I look forward to working with our excellent team across the Michigan Farm Bureau Family of Companies and continuing Farm Bureau Insurance’s mission to protect the people of Michigan from the risks of everyday life."

Farm Bureau Insurance of Michigan was also named as a Ward’s 50 Property & Casualty Top Performer.

In his new role, Simon will oversee vice presidents of the Insurance Company, be responsible for strategic and operational plans and programs, present operating and financial reports and recommendations to the board of directors and stockholders, and represent Farm Bureau Insurance within the insurance industry, statewide, and nationally.  He will also work closely with the directors and chief executive officers of the other Michigan Farm Bureau Affiliated Companies.

Simon earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from Michigan State University. He and his wife, Julie, reside in Grand Ledge. They have three children – Austin, Allyson, and Delaney.
