Granger Waste Services Announces Leadership and Staff Changes

Granger Waste Services is pleased to announce several leadership changes. These changes are being made in response to our continued growth in waste hauling, disposal and recycling services, specifically in our newer markets in Jackson, Alma and Grand Rapids. The following members of our leadership team, along with the rest of our associates, are focused on creating and managing sustainable environmental solutions.

  • Paul Anderson will move from director of operations to senior director of operations. In his new role, Paul will oversee all operations, including hauling, maintenance, landfill, recycling and transfer station operations.
  • Todd Granger will move from director of investments to chief financial officer. In his new role, he will serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors. He will also be responsible for directing and coordinating the company’s financial affairs and leading the accounting and IT functions.
  • Tom Hofman will move from director of human resources to senior director of human resources. He will continue to oversee to human resources across all Granger locations.
  • Tim Krause, P.E., will move from project engineer to director of engineering. In his new role, he will oversee all of Granger’s engineering efforts across all locations.
  • Tonia Olson will move from director of governmental and community relations to senior director of market development and governmental relations. In her new position, Tonia will oversee sales and marketing, customer service and community and governmental relations.
  • John Parmer will move to director of safety. In his new role, he will continue to promote a safe culture for all Granger associates.

“These emerging leaders, who are guided by the Golden Rule, will help us to achieve our goals and respond to our continued growth through their commitment to service, excellence and professionalism,” said Chief Executive Officer Keith Granger.

As a result of these leadership changes, many other Granger associates had the opportunity to transition to expanded or new roles. These staff changes include Tim Ely moving to controller, Kim Smelker moving to landfill operations manager, Mike Marilla moving to engineering technician, Kris Casey moving to construction support specialist, John Van Tholen moving to sales manager, Sean McHugh moving to data analyst and Neil Parsons moving to technology analyst.
