Redi-Ride customers residing in Meridian Township will be able to travel to several popular destinations located outside the current service boundaries following an agreement between CATA and township officials. In response to increased demand for service, CATA will expand the Meridian Redi-Ride service area to include Costco, Bath Township Meijer, MSU Clinical Center, College Fields and East Lansing Aquatic Center (on a seasonal basis) beginning Monday, February 19, 2018.

“CATA continually strives to enhance the experiences of its customers. It is an honor to be able to respond to the transportation needs of the township’s residents and uphold our commitment to riders,” explained Bradley T. Funkhouser, CATA’s Chief Executive Officer. “We have a longstanding partnership with Meridian Township
and look forward to future endeavors that raise the bar even further.”

CATA has been operating Redi-Ride – curb-to-curb, advanced-reservation service – in Meridian Township since the summer of 2000. Over the last 10 years ridership has been relatively consistent, averaging 19,740 trips annually. Service is available Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
