Through a number of events each year, the Chamber looks to recognize those in the business community that are helping Greater Lansing prosper. This begins at the Annual Dinner in February with the Community Service, Outstanding Small Business and Legacy Awards. The Community Service Award recognizes outstanding individuals of sound moral character who give of their time and expertise to make Lansing a better community and act as an inspiration to the community and a credit to their business or profession. The Outstanding Small Business Award recipient is a local business that has demonstrated stability, innovation, perseverance, and a commitment to diversity and community. The Legacy Award is given to a long-standing Chamber member. 

In late September, the Chamber and the Grand River Connection collaborate to produce the Ten Over the Next Ten Awards, a program that showcases the area's top young professionals who, over the next 10 years, will contribute significantly to our community and become tomorrow's leaders. These young professionals are judged based on their professional achievement, community involvement and personal success.
