Mason Public Schools (MPS) is excited to share opportunities for the public to get involved in our schools. Throughout the year, we often are asked by parents, grandparents and guardians of students how they can volunteer in our buildings. The District has worked on a plan to involve the community and is seeking community members to become reoccurring and occasional volunteers within Mason Public Schools.
MPS is seeking people who wish to support students and can designate time for this new program. Types of volunteer opportunities for regularly scheduled volunteers include library assistant, tutor, mentor, special activity supervisor, club leader, supply management support, bus pick-up and drop-off monitor, cafeteria supervisor and athletic event support as well as other types of roles.
As a matter of safety, all volunteers will have background checks performed before being able to participate in activities. Individuals that are interested in participating as an occasional volunteer such as field trip chaperones or one-time activities should contact the buildings directly.
