Mastering Emotional Intelligence (EI) will explore how EI impacts our effectiveness in the workplace. Participants will gain knowledge and the tools to demonstrate positive EI in various work environments, and learn how flexing your approach when dealing with others by utilizing EI results in better outcomes. This workshop will teach how the cycle of negativity impacts a persons’ ability to be a happy and healthy contributor at work while providing the tools to help reframe a positive mind.

About the Speaker: Tarence E. Lauchie`, MA, CBC

A graduate of Michigan State University, Tarence holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Communication/Education from MSU and a Masters of Arts in Education from Ashland Theological Seminary. He also holds a post graduate certificate as an Educational Policy Fellow from the Institute of Educational Leadership, Washington, DC., and is currently a doctoral candidate in the Organizational Leadership and Educational Development program at Cornerstone University.

He is founder and Chief Executive Officer of T. Lauchie` & Associates, a Training and Professional Development Firm and he is CEO of The Growth Center Inc., a certified non-profit faith-based organization that impacts lives around the world. He espouses a life-mission to use his God-given gifts and talents to help maximize the potential in others. He operates as a facilitator, life-coach, keynote speaker and professional development consultant. His speaking and facilitation work have taken him to many countries including, most recently, Johannesburg and Cape Town South Africa.

For more that 30 years, Tarence maintains a reputable history of working with various groups and communities, including non-profit organizations, educational institutions, Fortune 500, mid-size to small companies as well as local, state and federal government agencies. Tarence serves as an Adjunct Professor, former Chief Diversity Officer, and is often called upon to facilitate strategic planning projects with the Executive Leadership Team at Lansing Community College.

He is a noted featured speaker at Spring Arbor University, Grand Rapids Theological Seminary and Calvin College. With various certifications, licenses and access to customized assessment and training tools, he has combined the plethora of professional/educational skills, and valuable life experiences that has evolved into the unique gifts that he personifies.
