CATA employees wear special pin Tuesday to honor and thank veterans

(Lansing, Mich.) — Employees of the Capital Area Transportation Authority will wear an American flag lapel pin on Veterans Day, Tuesday, Nov. 11, as a salute to those who have served in the United States Armed Forces.

“The president of the Amalgamated Transit Union Local No. 1039, which represents approximately 250 CATA operators and maintenance employees, suggested we recognize the many sacrifices veterans make to ensure our country’s freedom. This is our peaceful demonstration to express our support and gratitude for service members everywhere,” said Sandy Draggoo, CATA CEO/Executive Director.
