Resch Strategies hopes to grow Greater Lansing’s next generation of leaders through its scholarship program

Resch Strategies, a Lansing-based public relations and public affairs firm, is now accepting applications for its Leadership Lansing Scholarship. The scholarship, in its fourth year, is for leaders of nonprofit organizations in the Greater Lansing area who wish to attend the Greater Lansing Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Lansing 2018-19 program. The recipient of the scholarship will have the program tuition of $2,200 covered. Members of the community are encouraged to nominate an organization as well.

“We created this scholarship because we want the Greater Lansing area to grow and develop the next generation of leaders from all sectors of the community,” said President of Resch Strategies, Matt Resch. Having worked with nonprofit clients, we understand that resources are tight and extra money for new programming is never just lying around.”

The Leadership Lansing program was established in 2015 and is an eight-month program where participants attend seven workshops from October to May. Workshop themes are centered on levels of leadership influence, education, healthcare, home-grown entrepreneurship, engagement and quality of life in the region, and creating a vision for the future.

"The attendance of Leadership Lansing with the support of the scholarship from Resch Strategies has reinforced my commitment to serve the field and our region,” said Barb Whitney, Executive Director of the Lansing Art Gallery & Education Center and a 2017-18 recipient of the scholarship. “After several months of training, I am more enriched with knowledge, motivated to serve the field, and inspired to do even more within our community. I would absolutely encourage other Lansing nonprofits to apply or nominate someone else for the Leadership Lansing Scholarship!"

Applications are due by July 1, 2018 with decisions being made and the winners chosen by July 31. Applications can be submitted at
