Four Regional Companies to be Honored at 13th Annual Celebration of Regional Growth Awards

Application Specialist Kompany (ASK), Auto-Owners Insurance Company, Cinnaire and Harbor Bay Real Estate Company Named 2018 Recipients

Four organizations will be honored on Thursday, November 15 for their significant community investments at the 13th annual Celebration of Regional Growth (CORG) awards luncheon presented by the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce (LRCC). The organizations being honored this year are: Application Specialist Kompany (ASK), Auto-Owners Insurance Company, Cinnaire and Harbor Bay Real Estate Advisors.

The Celebration of Regional Growth luncheon will take place as part of LRCC’s monthly Lansing Economic Club speaker series, as follows:

2018 Celebration of Regional Growth Honorees

Application Specialist Kompany (ASK) has grown into a leading provider of technology and cybersecurity solutions. ASK was started in 1993 with only three team members and now has a staff of 45. ASK is being recognized as a CORG recipient for their decision to acquire and renovate the former Moores Park Elementary located at 316 Moores River Drive as its new company headquarters.

Auto-Owners is being honored at the CORG awards for its development of 31,000-square feet of a vacant Lansing State Journal printing plant on Ena Drive in Delta Township, which the company has turned into a new claims training center. The $3.9 training center includes a two-story residential structure and commercial store fronts that is used for hands-on home and commercial building claims training. Auto-Owners also recently announced a $105.3 million, 250,000-square-foot expansion of its Delta Township headquarters.

Cinnaire’s purpose has been about changing lives and transforming struggling neighborhoods into thriving communities. Cinnaire is being recognized for its investments that led to the renovation of the School for the Blind and Walnut Park project on Lansing’s north side. Since its founding, Cinnaire has been a key economic driver in the renovation of REO Town opening its first office in empty warehouse in and has grown it into a vibrant office center for its nationwide activities.

Harbor Bay Real Estate Advisors, a premier real estate development firm headquartered in Northbrook, Illinois, is currently constructing a $125 million multi-generational, mixed-use development known as the Center City project in East Lansing, that includes the Landmark on Grand River, Newman Lofts, Target, Public Parking, and 24,000 SF of retail along Albert Avenue. Located near the historic intersection of M.A.C Avenue and Albert Avenue in the heart of Downtown East Lansing, Center City District (Center City) is transforming East Lansing’s skyline and redefining what it means to live in Downtown East Lansing.

The Celebration of Regional Growth awards program is an annual event presented by the LRCC. This year’s luncheon is sponsored by PNC Bank, Loomis, Ewert, Parsley, Davis & Gotting, P.C. and Consumers Energy. Tickets are $55 for Chamber members, $75 for non-members and $425 for a table of eight. Registration information can be found at lansingchamber.org.
