(Lansing, MI) –Governor Rick Snyder will deliver the keynote address at the Chambers of Commerce of Michigan Legislative Dinner hosted by the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday, March 19 with details as follows:

The state of Michigan’s roads and infrastructure, funding for K-12 education and Medicaid expansion are sure to be among the list of hot topics Governor Rick Snyder will discuss at the Annual Chamber’s of Commerce Legislative Dinner on Tuesday, March 19.

"The Legislative Dinner has always featured spirited discussions about the leading issues in state government and with Gov. Snyder as our featured presenter, we expect this year to be no different,” said Kristin Beltzer, LRCC Senior Vice President, Government Relations and Public Affairs. "We are also proud to present Gov. Snyder with the first-ever "Moving Michigan Forward” award for the significant changes he has made in the first two years in office and to offer our support and partnership to keep the momentum going.”

Governor Snyder has received acclaim from much of the business community in his first two years of office for eliminating the Michigan Business Tax and replacing it with corporate income tax, as well as for the elimination of the personal property tax. The Governor’s agenda for this year is highlighted by his plan to rebuild Michigan’s infrastructure, including a proposal to increase fuel taxes and registration fees to fund that rebuild.
