Burcham Hills welcomes new director of development

Burcham Hills Retirement Community welcomed Erica Bills as the Burcham Hills Foundation’s director of development.

Bills brings more than eight years of healthcare experience in a hospital setting, and two years of experience in local philanthropy. Bills was the fundraising coordinator for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) and then became the executive director of the South Central Michigan region for the association, overseeing fundraising activities in 28 counties. Prior to working at MDA, she developed multiple quality incentive tools utilized within Michigan healthcare systems. Bills earned her Bachelor’s Degree in pre-med from Kalamazoo College and her Master of Public Administration from Arizona State University. Currently, she chairs the Jackson Symphony Holiday Ball Committee, serves on the Jackson Symphony Guild, Kalamazoo College Guild, the United Way’s Teen Pregnancy Prevention Coalition, and maintains memberships in the Rotary Club of Lansing, Lansing Chamber of Commerce, and Jackon’s 20/20. In addition, she coaches high school soccer.

Burcham Hills is a continuum of care retirement community providing quality retirement living in its Resident Center, and short-term rehabilitation and skilled nursing care in its Center for Health & Rehabilitation. A not-for-profit community, Burcham Hills was founded in 1974 in East Lansing and offers the most flexible range of senior housing options on a 46 acre campus and the highest quality standards in retirement living.
