Haslett Middle School and Michael Church State Farm® partner to help homeless

EAST LANSING, MI  - March 20, 2014 – Michael Church State Farm, announced today he is matching the funds raised by Haslett Middle School students during their ‘Have a Heart’ campaign this February.

The Students and Staff were able to purchase ‘Hearts for the Homeless’. Hearts were sold at lunch for $1 and the classes had a little friendly competition to see who could raise the most money.

“I think it’s great that Haslett Middle School is teaching kids to be part of their community.  We are proud to boost the assistance to this great local organization,” said Michael Church.  “The Haven House assists families in their time of need and we can’t think of a better way to give back to the community.”

“The middle school worked extremely hard to raise even more money than last year.  Their dedication to Have a Heart has made a huge impact and we are very grateful,” said Leah Weidner, Volunteer & Special Projects Coordinator at Haven House.
