LEAP Welcomes New Business Attraction Manager

David J. Olson joins LEAP as part of the business development team


LANSING, MI – This week, the regional economic development agency, LEAP welcomed a new Manager of Business Attraction. David J. Olson joins the 11 person LEAP team, developing strategies and action steps that will attract from outside the area, new business investment and jobs to the Lansing region. Olson will be traveling internationally and domestically to engage companies and work to attract them to the greater Lansing region.

Olson brings 18 years of sales experience in a variety of roles including construction to this role and has a strong background in business development. Olson is an expert at leveraging entrepreneurial drive and business acumen to achieve success in new-market ventures. Olson will continue to serve as adjunct faculty at Northwood University, DeVos Graduate School.

“Having David on board, along with restructured Business Attraction Strategy will allow the Lansing region to seize upon momentum and better take our recruiting message out to the world, and will allow us to continue on the path of being the strongest market economically in the Midwest,” said Bob Trezise, President and CEO of LEAP. “David brings a specific skill set to this team and we are happy to welcome him to our team.”

Olson received his Masters of Business Administration from Northwood University, DeVos Graduate School and resides in Okemos, MI.
