Branding Bootcamp educates entrepreneurs to be effective storytellers

Series of business bootcamps coming to the Lansing area for startup businesses

EAST LANSING, MI – Kicking off a series of educational bootcamps aimed at helping startups with their business development, the Branding and Marketing Bootcamp was held yesterday in East Lansing. The RING (Lansing’s Innovation Network) which is powered by LEAP, partnered with many organizations like the Small Business Development Center, Michigan Creative, MSU Innovation Center, Rough Draft Solutions, and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation to put on this as well as future bootcamps being planned this spring.

This inaugural bootcamp featured presentations from many industry leaders discussing topics ranging from connecting key small business development resources, techniques, and trends, social media and video marketing, public relations, and content creation.

“Marketing and brand management are the one-two combination for getting customers and building a reputation for your business,” said Tony Willis, Manager of Business Acceleration for LEAP. “We want to provide useful content to our growing startups that are part of the RING.”

Held in the 300 Room located between the Technology Innovation Center and The Hatch incubators, the event was a packed house of budding entrepreneurs and innovation-minded individuals looking to get a leg up on the competition.
