Truscott Rossman making major moves in Detroit, adds to growing staff

Detroit -- Truscott Rossman announced today several staffing moves that will allow the firm to significantly build on its growing presence in Detroit. The strategic communications firm announced the addition of two new hires to its Detroit office – Digital Media Director Chad Cyrowski and Account Executive Dan Herrick.

“There is an amazing amount of energy and positive momentum in Detroit,” said Truscott Rossman CEO Kelly Rossman-McKinney. “We are deeply committed to being a part of this city’s continued growth and the addition of Chad and Dan to our team will ensure Truscott Rossman is well-positioned to meet the needs of our growing client list in Detroit.”

The move comes on top of adding Account Executive Matt Brady to the firm’s Renaissance Center office only two weeks ago, and the addition of highly regarded strategic communications leader John Bailey in January. Bailey is a member of the Public Relations Society of America Detroit Chapter’s Hall of Fame and author of “The Power of Ownership: How to Build a Career and a Business.”

The firm, which has offices in Detroit, Lansing and Grand Rapids, also plans to hire a senior level manager in its Detroit office next month.

In addition to working with DTE, Detroit Medical Center and Soave Enterprises, the firm recently began providing communications services for the launch of the city of Detroit’s new 0% Home Repair Loan and Motor City Match business attraction programs.

“We’ve built our firm around three key tenets: excellence in strategic communications, a strong work ethic and professionalism,” said Truscott Rossman President John Truscott. “Chad and Dan match those characteristics perfectly and are a great fit for our team.”

As Digital Media Director, Cyrowski will be responsible for guiding digital and social media efforts for Truscott Rossman clients. Prior to joining Truscott Rossman, Chad served as digital media director for the Schauer for Governor campaign, Progress Michigan and most recently the AFL-CIO.

Herrick was an intern at Truscott Rossman and quickly gained a reputation for his outstanding writing skills. He is a graduate of Kalamazoo College.

Cyrowski replaces Graham Davis, who is joining local startup company

“Graham was presented with a great opportunity and we wish him all the best. We welcome these changes as we continue to grow and expand. This is an exciting time to be in Detroit and we are so proud to be able to participate in the resurgence of the city,” said Rossman-McKinney.

“Whether it’s in Detroit, Grand Rapids, or Lansing, our statewide reach allows us to serve our clients in a way that few others can,” said Truscott. “With these additions to our team, we now have an even greater position to help our clients reach their goals.”
