CATA Hosts 16th Annual Community Health Fair

Lansing, MI—CATA will host its 16th Annual Community Health Fair on Friday, Apr. 10, 2015 at the CATA Transportation Center from 9 a.m. to noon. This is a FREE event.  Co-sponsors joining CATA in this endeavor are the MSUCOM Community Integrated Medicine and the Tri-County Office on Aging.

“We are pleased to see so many customers and residents take advantage of this community event each year,” remarked Sandy Draggoo, CATA CEO/Executive Director.  “Free health screenings can really make a difference in someone’s life. Thanks to the participating agencies and organizations, we are able to put those in need in touch with the right resources.”

Local health and human service organizations will be on hand to provide a variety of health screenings and services. Visitors can be screened for cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure levels, bone density, oral cancer and vision.  Other free services include public insurance enrollments, substance abuse, family planning services, mental health, nutrition education, senior services and a host of additional resources.
