Community leaders golf for good at McLaren’s Jack Breslin Golf Classic

LANSING, Mich. – Community leaders, businesses, caregivers and supporters of McLaren Greater Lansing Healthcare Foundation will raise funds for McLaren Greater Lansing on Wednesday, May 20 at the annual Jack Breslin Golf Classic. The event features honorary chairman Mayor Nathan Triplett, city of East Lansing, and WLNS Newscenter 6 anchor Sheri Jones as event emcee.

The annual outing, held at Eagle Eye Golf Club and Hawk Hollow Golf Course, has become the unofficial start of the summer for McLaren and for Greater Lansing. The event is one of the first major golf outings of the year, and sets a tone of community fellowship and support for the season.

“We are blessed in our friends and supporters,” said Scott S. Stewart, chair of the McLaren Greater Lansing Healthcare Foundation board of trustees. “While they love golf—and golfing in our outing—their hearts are truly passionate about supporting our patients and caregivers. They understand the significance their support makes on our entire community.”

For the third consecutive year, MSU Federal Credit Union has generously committed to sponsoring at the founding level. “Organizations like McLaren Greater Lansing Healthcare Foundation strengthen our community,” said April M. Clobes, MSUFCU’s president and chief executive officer. “We're proud to be a longstanding partner with McLaren to help those in need of healthcare services in our community.”

Proceeds from the Jack Breslin Golf Classic will make an immediate impact on Greater Lansing through the funding of advanced technology and equipment, medical education for caregivers, innovative research and more.
