Lansing Regional Chamber Announces Enhanced Business Development Program

(Lansing, MI) – The Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce (LRCC) has launched a major new business development initiative that will incorporate the talents of seven staff members into a program designed to deliver increased value and engagement to the more than 1,200 LRCC members. The business development initiative will seek to leverage the strengths of the Chamber’s sales, marketing and communications, government relations, government contracting services, member events and financial services teams in ways that that will better communicate the diverse membership benefits that Chamber offers current and prospective members

“We have found that often times our members don’t always know all of the possibilities for how they can use the Chamber to help grow their business,” said LRCC executive vice president and chief marketing officer Kristin Beltzer. “By taking an integrated approach to business development, our members will not only realize the full menu of options, but how to best match our services with their business needs.”

The full seven-member LRCC Business Development Team includes:
• Kristin Beltzer, executive vice president and chief marketing officer;
• Michelle Rahl, director of business development;
• Steve Japinga, director of government relations;
• Christine Zarkovich, business development manager;
• Travis Richardson, manager of events and programming;
• Kari Smith, manager of marketing and graphics; and
• Hanna VonAchen, financial/data specialist

The enhanced business development team is creating an integrated communications program that will increase awareness among current and prospective members of LRCC’s role in fighting for pro-business, pro-growth public policy and supporting political candidates who embrace that agenda. Communications will also focus on the multiple networking and business connection opportunities provided by LRCC, and programs that allow member organizations and their employees to develop their skills and improve their bottom line.

The mission of the Lansing Chamber of Commerce (LRCC) is to be the preeminent business advocacy organization in the Greater Lansing region by collaborating for economic growth, creating new opportunities for our members and upholding pro-business ideals through the advancement of sound public policy. More information about LRCC and its programs and services can be found on any of its social media platforms, including, Facebook, Twitter (@LansingChamber), LinkedIn and YouTube.
