DETAILS: Lansing Maker Week and Startup Weekend: Maker Edition are back for a second year beginning Friday, Oct. 2, 2015. This weeklong event is all about finding your inner maker, a passion to find or do something new and different. It emphasizes learning-through-doing in a social, informal environment. It’s a chance for people to find new hobbies and business ideas. Some may become the next job creators for our state.

The “maker movement” is both pro-technology and pro-DIY and fits well in Lansing’s unique culture at the intersection of higher education and manufacturing, with a nod to its rich history of both arts and entrepreneurship.

About Lansing Maker Week: Lansing Maker Week is a choose-your-own-adventure event stacked with a lineup of tours, hands-on projects and guest speakers, as well as the second annual Startup Weekend: Maker Edition.
