The Lansing region understands that to be the best, you must compete against the best. For that reason, the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce and Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP) partnered with 10 leading business and education stakeholders to develop the first State of the Lansing Region Benchmarking Report.

A fitting symbol for the report would be a magnifying glass. It has allowed us to finally see and identify our core strengths and growth opportunities by comparing our region against 11 thriving communities in the nation on 42 economic indicators.

It shows us where we need to focus our efforts now and moving forward to improve, grow and thrive as a region.

More importantly, the report shows us that we must work together and establish a vision for the Lansing region’s future to move the needle on population growth, educational attainment, private sector investment, job growth and affordability.

We are up to the challenge, and we invite you to join us.

Watch an overview of the State of the Lansing Region Benchmarking Report from Tim Daman, president and CEO, Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce, and Bob Trezise, president and CEO, Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP).

We strongly encourage you to download, print, and share the State of the Lansing Region Benchmarking Report within your organization to continue the conversation and spark new and innovative ideas on how to move the region forward.
