East Lansing City Council’s approvals of The Howard development and the Graduate Hotel East Lansing rooftop expansion mark two wins for East Lansing and for the Lansing region as a whole.

The Howard brings a transformational, forward-looking investment to downtown East Lansing, one that supports housing, innovation, and long-term economic growth. Its pioneering mass timber design and significant private investment position it to strengthen downtown East Lansing for decades to come.

The Graduate Hotel’s rooftop expansion reflects the continued strength of East Lansing’s hospitality and business community and will generate meaningful economic impact through increased visitation and hotel activity.
