Lansing Regional Chamber, Lansing 5:01 Celebrate 20th Anniversary of 10 Over the Next Ten Awards

Ten emerging leaders recognized for professional achievement and commitment to the Lansing Region

LANSING, Mich. – The Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce (LRCC), in partnership with Lansing 5:01, celebrated the 20th anniversary of the 10 Over the Next Ten Awards on Tuesday, September 15, recognizing 10 of the Lansing Region’s brightest young professionals who are making an impact today and are positioned to help shape the region for years to come.

For two decades, the 10 Over the Next Ten Awards have recognized emerging leaders based on their professional accomplishments, leadership potential and meaningful commitment to community involvement. With the addition of the 2026 class, 200 young professionals have now been honored through the program.

“Reaching the 20th anniversary of 10 Over the Next Ten is an incredible opportunity to celebrate not only this year’s honorees, but two decades of talented people who have chosen to build their careers, serve their communities and make a difference here in the Lansing Region,” said Sarah Bakken, Talent Development Manager at the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce. “The 2026 recipients represent the energy, talent and commitment that will drive our region forward. We are proud to recognize them and excited to see the impact they will continue to make over the next ten years and beyond.”

2026 10 Over the Next Ten Award Recipients

Amanda Dernovshek, Shareholder, Foster Swift
Dernovshek came to East Lansing for law school in 2015 and has built her career at Foster Swift, where she helps companies implement employee stock ownership plans and preserve their legacies through employee ownership. Her community involvement includes the Junior League of Lansing and Girls on the Run Mid-Michigan.

Bridgette Bauer, Director of Public Affairs, Bellwether Public Relations
Bauer is a public affairs professional who combines earned media, advocacy and policy strategy to help organizations advance issues important to Michigan. She serves on the boards of the Share the Music Foundation and YMCA Michigan Youth in Government and is deeply invested in empowering the next generation.

Devon Pung, Mechanical Engineering Project Manager, Matrix Consulting Engineers
Pung is a mechanical engineer, third-generation farmer and parent whose professional and community work reflects a commitment to problem-solving, stewardship and service. Pung has also served for four years as a volunteer firefighter and medical first responder.

Harrison Leffel-Jones, Vice President, Small Business & Innovation, LEAP
Leffel-Jones has built a career spanning Lansing, Chicago and London before choosing to return to the Lansing Region. At LEAP, he has deployed more than $1 million to regional small businesses, co-founded 517 Entrepreneurship & Innovation Week and earned the Certified Economic Developer designation. He has served as Public Board Chair of the Lansing Regional SmartZone since 2022.

Kahleea Washington, Community Development Specialist, Lansing Economic Development Corporation
An Illinois native, entrepreneur and urban sociologist, Washington moved to Michigan in 2023 for a Community Development Fellowship with CEDAM and MEDC. Today, she manages corridor programs, small business support, grants and placemaking initiatives for the Lansing EDC. She is also the owner of Sweet Lee’s Teas and serves on the Mid-Michigan Junior Achievement Associate Board.

Travis Harris, Investment Advisor, PNC Bank
Harris is an investment advisor focused on helping individuals and families make confident financial decisions and build lasting legacies. His work emphasizes trust, relationships and lifelong learning. Harris is also a founding board member of the OurSpace Foundation.

Kristen Fillmore, Relationship Manager, Plante Moran Financial Advisors
Fillmore has advanced through multiple roles at Plante Moran and currently serves as a relationship manager in the firm’s wealth management practice. She has earned both the Certified Financial Planner and Certified Private Wealth Advisor designations and serves on the Board of Trustees for the Capital Region Community Foundation.

Monique Hudson, Program and Relationship Owner, Strategic Support Program, Jackson Financial
A Lansing native and Everett High School graduate, Hudson earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and master’s degree in administration with a concentration in leadership from Central Michigan University. She is passionate about developing the next generation, including through youth coaching, and has served as a CASA for Kids volunteer since 2022.

Jazmin Anderson, Director of Small Business & Equity Programs, LEAP
Anderson builds and leads entrepreneurship programs including SCALE, One & All and Business Made Simple for Lansing-area small businesses. A former elected official and co-owner of Stay Rooted, she also organizes community art meetups focused on creating authentic and culturally grounded spaces. Anderson served as an elected commissioner on the City of Lansing Charter Commission from 2024 to 2025.

Quinn O’Donnell, Program Manager of Volunteer, In Kind Donations, and Donor Database, Child and Family Charities
Quinn is a program manager in the development department at Child and Family Charities, coordinating volunteers, in-kind donations, and the donor database. This honoree also chairs the Capital District Libraries Board of Trustees and belongs to the Kiwanis Club of Lansing. Outside of work and meetings, this honoree enjoys spending time with a dog and two cats, reading, writing, and playing D&D with friends. This honoree has chaired the Capital District Libraries Board since 2026.

The 2026 awards celebration brought together honorees, alumni, business leaders and community partners to recognize the newest class and commemorate 20 years of the program. The 10 Over the Next Ten Awards are presented by the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Lansing 5:01.
