Meet the Candidate Series
The Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce Meet the Candidate Series is a unique opportunity for business leaders and candidates seeking public office to engage in thoughtful, business-focused dialogue on the issues shaping our region. This moderated roundtable series provides a platform for Chamber members to connect directly with candidates, hear their priorities, and better understand how those priorities align with the needs of the business community.
Spanning offices from the federal to the local level, the Meet the Candidate Series reinforces the Chamber’s role as a trusted convener of leaders across all levels of government. These exclusive conversations are designed to foster meaningful discussion, encourage transparency, and elevate policy-driven dialogue during an election year. The Chamber is proud to host these sessions in the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce Insurance Capital Board Room, creating an intimate setting that promotes engagement and informed conversation.
Policy & Regulatory Education Series (Part of LRCC’s GROW Series)
As part of the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce’s mission to Connect, Grow, and Thrive, the Chamber has aligned its events and programming under the GROW Series, an integrated business resource framework designed to support small businesses, entrepreneurs, and larger employers. Through this approach, the LRCC delivers coordinated education, leadership development, and connection opportunities that help businesses succeed in today’s dynamic business environment.
The Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce Policy & Regulatory Education Series is a key component of the GROW Series, providing members with opportunities to hear from subject-matter experts on policy and regulatory issues that may impact businesses at the federal, state, or local level of government. These programs are designed to help employers better understand compliance requirements, anticipate changes, and navigate evolving regulatory landscapes.
Educational sessions are offered throughout the year, with select programs held on an ad hoc basis depending on the timing of a particular issue. Past areas of focus have included family and medical leave, overtime rules, paid sick leave, minimum wage laws, and medical and recreational marijuana regulations.
The LRCC Policy & Regulatory Education Series is made possible by Foster Swift.
