LRCC Joins National Coalition Calling for Permitting Reform
This week, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, joined by the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce (LRCC) and more than 500 other organizations, delivered a coalition letter to Members of Congress calling for comprehensive permitting reform. You Can View The Full Letter Here.
Modernizing permitting systems will empower communities and businesses to invest in infrastructure that grows the economy, creates good-paying jobs, and improves quality of life.
The coalition is united around four key principles:
- Predictability: Clear timelines and scope for project reviews.
- Efficiency: Improved interagency coordination to optimize resources.
- Transparency: Accessible visibility into project milestones and schedules.
- Stakeholder Input: Consistent opportunities for input from all relevant parties.
The LRCC is proud to stand with this broad coalition advocating for smarter, faster, and more transparent processes that will strengthen our regional economy and competitiveness. This aligns with the LRCC policy priority of taxes and regulations.
