LANSING, MI – The Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce (LRCC), in partnership with Greenlee Consulting Services, has released new polling data highlighting the views of East Lansing voters ahead of the November 4, 2025 general election.

The survey shows high expected voter turnout, with 83% of respondents indicating they are “very likely” to vote this fall. When asked about the city’s direction, 36% believe East Lansing is on the right track, 29% say wrong track, and 35% remain undecided – a sign that voters are open to persuasion.

The proposed Parks & Recreation millage is shaping up to be one of the most competitive ballot measures, with 45% of voters supporting, 42% opposing, and 14% undecided.
Voters identified several top concerns heading into November: the city budget (20%), affordable housing and homelessness (16%), education and youth programs (13%), roads and infrastructure (11%), taxes and regulations (12%), and public safety (11%).

“These findings highlight just how engaged East Lansing voters will be this fall,” said Steve Japinga, Senior Vice President of Public Affairs at LRCC. “With such strong turnout expected, and many voters still undecided, direct engagement will be critical. Understanding the issues that matter most to residents is essential for business and community leaders as we work together on East Lansing’s future.”

The poll, conducted by Greenlee Consulting Services, reflects the views of likely East Lansing voters and provides important insights into the issues that will shape this year’s election.
