Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce Supports Ingham ISD Special Education Facilities Bond
LANSING, Mich. — The Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce (LRCC) today announced its support for the Ingham Intermediate School District Special Education Facilities Bond proposal on the upcoming May ballot.
“Supporting this bond is the right thing to do,” said Tim Daman, President & CEO of the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce. “Every child deserves facilities that are safe, accessible, up to date, and designed to meet their needs. Students receiving special education services require environments that support mobility, safety, and specialized instruction. This proposal addresses essential facility needs that directly impact students and educators.”
Ingham ISD has long been recognized for its leadership in providing special education services across the county. The proposed bond would modernize and improve facilities that serve some of the region’s most vulnerable students.
The LRCC has consistently supported school bond proposals that strengthen educational outcomes and invest in the next generation of business owners, workforce talent, and community leaders.
“The LRCC also recognizes the financial pressures facing taxpayers. Ingham County currently has 11 special property tax millages in place.” Daman added. “We believe it is important for local leaders and voters to continually review overall tax burden and prioritize essential investments that reflect true community needs. After thoughtful consideration, we believe this bond proposal meets that standard.”
