LANSING, MI – The Lansing Regional Chamber Political Action Committee (LRC-PAC), the political arm of the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce, today announced its endorsement of Harold Pope for the 74th State House District.

Harold Pope brings a distinguished record of leadership, accountability, and practical problem-solving to this race. As a First Lieutenant in the United States Army Signal Corps, he developed a deep commitment to mission-driven service and operational discipline. His career at Ford Motor Company, where he worked directly alongside union employees to identify and resolve production inefficiencies at the ground level, gave him a rare and hands-on understanding of how large, complex organizations function and where they fall short.

Beyond his professional record, Pope’s investment in the Lansing community is extensive and sustained. Through his nonprofit Guardians of Our Future, his service as NAACP Lansing Branch president, his leadership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Michigan Capital Region, his work organizing the Lansing Juneteenth Committee, and his pandemic relief efforts, he has demonstrated a commitment to this region that extends well beyond electoral ambition. He has shown up consistently, over years, when it mattered most.

“Harold Pope is exactly the kind of leader the 74th District needs,” said Steve Japinga, Senior VP of Public Affairs at the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce. “His experience in the military and at Ford Motor Company taught him how to identify problems and fix them. That is precisely the skill set we need in Lansing. His deep roots in this community and his record of showing up for the people of this region make him ready to deliver real results. We are proud to endorse his campaign.”

The LRC-PAC believes Michigan taxpayers deserve a state government that works, and that starts with electing the right people to state office. Harold Pope has the experience, the record, and the community investment to be exactly that representative for the 74th District.
