LRC-PAC Endorsed Legislative and Local Candidates Win in 2026 General Election
LANSING, MI –The Lansing Regional Chamber Political Action Committee (LRC-PAC) congratulates the candidates elected Tuesday to serve the Lansing region, including several LRC-PAC endorsed candidates who won their races for the State Legislature and local office.
LRC-PAC endorsed candidates elected on November 3:
•Sen. Sarah Anthony, State Senate District 21 (62.5%)
•Harold Pope, State House District 74 (73.1%)
•Rep. Angela Witwer, State House District 76 (57.1%)
•Josh Lyman, Delta Township Trustee (64.1%)
•Andrea Cascarilla, Delta Township Supervisor (unopposed)
“Congratulations to every candidate who earned the trust of voters on Tuesday,” says Tim Daman, President and CEO of the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce. “Elections decide who sits at the table, but the work ahead is the same, and there is a lot of it. Michigan is behind other states on too many of the benchmarks that matter most, from educational outcomes to job growth to population. We will work with Governor elect Jocelyn Benson, our congressional delegation, the Legislature and local leaders to close those gaps and keep the Lansing region a strong place to live, work and grow a business.”
“Michigan has real work to do to get back on track on jobs, population growth, education and affordability, and that work only gets done if everyone is part of it,” says Steve Japinga, Senior Vice President of Public Affairs for the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce. “We will work with every elected official, regardless of party, because an economy that works for everyone has to include small businesses and the people they employ. Getting Michigan back on track is a shared responsibility, and the business community is ready to do its part.”
Voters also rejected Proposal 26-1, which would have called a convention to rewrite the Michigan Constitution, by nearly three to one. The Chamber had recommended a no vote, citing the uncertainty a full constitutional rewrite would create for employers.
Across Clinton, Eaton and Ingham counties, voters approved 16 of the 21 local ballot proposals listed in the Chamber’s Election Guide. Those included the City of Lansing’s essential services millage for police, fire and road and sidewalk maintenance (62%) and the new Eaton County roads millage (53%).
LRC-PAC endorsed candidates following a review process that may include written questionnaires, candidate interviews, participation in the Chamber’s Meet the Candidates series and a formal vote of the LRC-PAC Board of Directors.
