The Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce (LRCC) has long been a trusted convener of professionals, influencers and leaders in the Lansing region. The organization hosts various opportunities for members to build relationships with other local professionals as well as discuss pertinent policy and economic issues.

The current COVID-19 crisis has led the LRCC to get creative and think of new, innovative ways to stay connected to its members and the Lansing community during a time of mandated social distancing.

“We want our members to know that we are committed to working with state and federal officials and our local organizations and key stakeholders to identify solutions that will assist businesses during these challenging times,” said Michelle Rahl, vice president of member engagement, LRCC. “These strategies will provide us with real-time information that will help us more effectively target practical strategies and solutions for businesses that need support.”

LRCC has set up weekly touchpoint calls with its members to discuss the immediate and long- term needs of businesses and business owners. The calls identify ways to promote business hours and services, as well as ways LRCC can serve as their voice to local, state and national leaders.

LRCC has also developed a COVID-19 resource page on its website, www.lansingchamber.org, that features local and national resources, state and federal updates and essential business and financial information, as well as a short online survey to help gain a deeper understanding of how the COVID-19 pandemic is impacting the business community.

Additionally, the LRCC launched the #ShareTheGood campaign, which highlights local businesses who are working together to assist other businesses and organizations in our community during the COVID-19 crisis, and a weekly email that promotes and showcases local businesses webinars, virtual networking opportunities and business resources.
