Leadership Foundations is a practical, experience-driven leadership development program designed for emerging leaders, supervisors, and first-time managers who are stepping into people leadership responsibilities.
Through six interactive sessions, participants will gain the tools, confidence, and communication skills needed to lead teams effectively, navigate challenges with clarity, and build strong workplace relationships.
This program is part of the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce Thrive Talent and Leadership Series and is designed to strengthen leadership capacity across the Greater Lansing region.

Leadership Foundations helps professionals successfully transition from individual contributor roles into leadership positions.
Many first-time leaders are expected to manage people without formal leadership training. This program provides practical guidance, real-world tools, and peer support to help participants lead with confidence from day one.
Participants will engage in:

- Peer learning and networking
- Guest speakers and local leadership perspectives
- Action-oriented takeaways participants can apply immediately
Six in-person half-day sessions delivered monthly

About Bobby Hoffman
Leadership Foundations is facilitated by Bobby Hoffman, co-founder of Thought Partner Services, a mid-Michigan consultancy focused on leadership development, workplace culture, communication, and customer experience.
Bobby brings more than two decades of leadership and high-stakes communication experience, including leadership roles at Michigan State University’s Wharton Center for Performing Arts. He currently serves as an instructor at Michigan State University and has facilitated leadership and communication workshops for organizations across Michigan.
His facilitation style is practical, engaging, and focused on helping participants build confidence and apply leadership skills in real-world situations.
Leadership Foundations helps emerging and first-time leaders build the confidence, communication skills, and practical leadership tools needed to support healthy teams, strengthen workplace culture, and contribute to long-term organizational success.
The program also supports the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce’s commitment to talent development, workforce growth, and regional leadership capacity.
Tuition for the Leadership Foundation program is $2,000 per participant
