Lansing, MI[June 13, 2025] — A renewed spirit of collaboration and progress was on full display at the Lansing–Delhi Township Business Roundtable, hosted at the soon-to-be-opened Mt. Hope School. The event brought together leaders from the Lansing School District, the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce (LRCC), the City of Lansing, and local community stakeholders, reaffirming a shared commitment to shaping a vibrant future for the region.

Lansing School District Superintendent Ben Shuldiner presented impressive milestones, including historic graduation rates and significant academic improvements across the board. With state-of-the-art facilities nearing completion at Mt. Hope and Willow and construction set to begin at Lewton and Sheridan Road, the district is laying a strong foundation for student success.

“We’re not just building schools; we’re building futures,” said Superintendent Shuldiner. “The momentum we’re seeing today is the result of deep partnerships across our community and the Lansing region.”

Mayor Andy Schor echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the integral link between education and urban vitality. Despite ongoing challenges in state infrastructure funding, the City of Lansing continues to prioritize road maintenance and public works improvements, recognizing that strong schools are essential to a strong city.

The LRCC reaffirmed its unwavering support through programs like the Lansing Promise and advocacy for vital school bond proposals. “A thriving economy begins with a thriving school system,” said LRCC President Tim Daman.

As Lansing’s public, private, and civic leaders join forces, the June 11 roundtable underscored a shared belief: when our schools succeed, so does our entire region.
