Pro-Growth Candidates Advance: Momentum Builds for November

LANSING, MI — The Lansing Regional Chamber-Political Action Committee (LRC-PAC), the political arm of the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce, congratulates its endorsed candidates who advanced in the August 5, 2025 Lansing City Primary Election. These candidates will appear on the ballot in the November General Election and represent the kind of leadership needed to continue Lansing’s progress.
Advancing to the November General Election:
•Mayor: Andy Schor
•At-Large City Council: Jeremy Garza, Clara Martinez, Aurelius Christian
•2nd Ward: Deyanira Nevárez Martínez
•4th Ward: Peter Spadafore

Earlier this summer, the LRC-PAC commissioned poll found that Lansing voters’ top priorities include fixing roads, expanding affordable housing, and improving public safety—issues that aligned directly with the platforms of Chamber-endorsed candidates.

“Our endorsed candidates are in strong position to win in November,” said Tim Daman, President & CEO of the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce. “They represent the forward-thinking, pragmatic leadership needed to build on Lansing’s economic momentum and continue delivering on priorities like housing, public safety, infrastructure, and efficient city services.”

2025 Voter Priorities Poll Snapshot:
•Road and infrastructure maintenance ranked highest at 26.7%
•Affordable housing followed at 23.0%
•Public safety and crime prevention came in at 18.9%

“Lansing voters get it.” Steve Japinga, Senior Vice President of Public Affairs of the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce added. “They connected with these candidates because they spoke directly to the issues people care about. These are thoughtful leaders who understand the challenges we face and are ready to deliver meaningful results for our city.”
