LANSING, Mich. — Small businesses across the region will have an opportunity to connect with public procurement professionals and small business resource providers at the 2025 Let’s Talk Business Supplier Resource Summit, taking place virtually on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. via the Zoom Video Conference Platform.

The event is hosted in partnership with the State of Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget (DTMB), Michigan Supplier Community (MiSC), the Small Business Administration (SBA), the South Central Michigan APEX Accelerator, and the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce (LRCC).

This first-of-its-kind, statewide summit will offer small businesses and diverse suppliers a chance to engage directly with public sector procurement experts, gain valuable insights into government contracting, and connect with technical assistance providers ready to help them grow.

“This summit is about making procurement more accessible,” said Eric Pratt, Geographically Disadvantaged Business Specialist with DTMB Central Procurement Services. “We’re bringing the resources, knowledge, and people directly to small businesses so they can take the next step in becoming successful public-sector suppliers.”

“The Outreach Program team is excited to meet with businesses who are interested and ready to explore new contract opportunities,” added Valerie Hiltz, MiDEAL & Outreach Program Manager for DTMB Central Procurement Services. “Events like this make a real difference in helping small businesses understand how to work with the State of Michigan.”

The event will include virtual panel discussions and live interaction with procurement staff from state departments and partner agencies.

“Our mission is to help businesses navigate the government contracting process,” said Mike Hindenach, Program Manager for the South Central Michigan APEX Accelerator. “Whether you’re just getting started or looking to expand your reach, this summit will offer practical tools and connections to support your journey.”

“We’re proud to partner with the State of Michigan and APEX Accelerator to bring this opportunity to our region’s small businesses,” said Bridget Drzal, Vice President of Member Engagement at the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce. “This event is a perfect example of how collaboration can unlock growth for our business community.”

The event is free and open to all businesses, regardless of Chamber membership status.
