LANSING, MI — The Lansing Economic Club, hosted by the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce, welcomed Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan President and CEO Tricia A. Keith for an in-depth discussion on how the organization is responding to the growing health care affordability challenges impacting employers, employees, and families nationwide.

Keith addressed business and community leaders during the luncheon held Thursday, February 5, at the Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center, outlining Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan’s strategies to address rising health care costs while improving access, quality, and patient outcomes. Her remarks emphasized the importance of collaboration across the health care system and the role employers play in advancing solutions that support both affordability and patient well-being.

“Health care affordability is one of the most complex challenges facing employers and families today,” said Tricia A. Keith, president and CEO of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. “At Blue Cross, we are addressing affordability by running our organization more efficiently and working with partners across the health care system to improve access, strengthen quality, and create solutions that keep our members at the center of everydecision.”

“Health care affordability isn’t just a health issue. It’s an economic issue that directly affects our workforce, our employers, and the overall stability of our communities,” added Tim Daman, president and CEO of the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce. “This conversation was important because it brought business leaders together with one of the state’s largest health insurers to better understand the challenges facing employers and families and to explore how innovation and partnership are helping move the needle.”
