The Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce is proud to join our partners at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and more than 600 organizations from across the country in signing a coalition letter urging the United States Senate to build on the House of Representatives’ progress and pass bipartisan, comprehensive permitting reform.

Modernizing the federal permitting process is critical to advancing infrastructure projects, strengthening domestic energy production, supporting manufacturing growth, and ensuring communities like ours can compete in today’s economy. Delays and uncertainty in the permitting process slow down investment, increase costs, and hinder job creation. Thoughtful, bipartisan reform will provide greater predictability while maintaining strong environmental protections.

The coalition letter has been shared with all U.S. Senate offices and underscores the broad national consensus around the need for meaningful permitting reform.

We encourage our members and partners to review and share the letter and to continue engaging with federal policymakers to keep permitting reform a top priority.
