The following statement can be attributed to Tim Daman, president & CEO, Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce:

The agreement between our three public transit authorities, Capital Area Transportation Authority (CATA), Eaton County Transportation Authority (EATRAN), and Clinton Area Transit System to work more closely on a new regional coordination plan for public transit is an important step forward for our region. The Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce has been hearing from our members for several years that public transit is a barrier to their ability to attract and retain talent. Building a more seamless transportation network that cuts across political boundary lines will eliminate many barriers. Recent studies have shown that Greater Lansing is also one of the fastest-growing population hubs in the Midwest. To support that growth, our region must continue to invest in developing our infrastructure, of which public transit is a vital component.
