All four of the candidates endorsed by the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee (LRC-PAC) 2023 races for Lansing City Council were elected to office on Tuesday, November 7.

Those candidates include:

  • Tamera Carter, At-Large
  • Trini Lopez-Pehlivanoglu, At-Large
  • Ryan Kost, 1st Ward
  • Adam Hussain, 3rd Ward

“Voters in Lansing have made their voices heard by electing these individuals to the City Council, at a time when our city faces both significant challenges and opportunity,” remarked Steve Japinga, Senior Vice President of Public Affairs at the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce. “There’s a lot of important work ahead of us, and it’s crucial that we remain focused on working together to advance initiatives that will revitalize and rebuild our city. We eagerly anticipate collaborating with the Mayor and Lansing City Council on matters that voters have clearly identified as top priorities, such as public safety, infrastructure, jobs, and housing.”

LRC-PAC also endorsed Kerry Ebersole Singh and Mark Meadows who were elected to the East Lansing City Council on Tuesday. The LRC-PAC emphasized the vital importance of electing city council members willing to work with a spirit of collaboration and to seek innovative solutions to the challenges facing the city.

“Both Kerry and Mark’s leadership skills will be an asset to East Lansing, and we look forward to working with them and the entire city council in the months ahead,” said Japinga.
